Basketball Recap: KHALI CELESTINE Key Part of a Team Effort in Charging Indians Win

Washington-Marion posted their closest victory since November 25, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northwest Raiders, sneaking past 64-61. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Charging Indians also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.

Washington-Marion's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was KHALI CELESTINE, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was ASHTON SAVOIE, who had 17 points.

Washington-Marion now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Northwest, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Washington-Marion and Northwest should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Washington-Marion (ranked 64th) will meet Cecilia (ranked 324th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Washington-Marion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. Similarly, Northwest (ranked 40th) will meet Breaux Bridge (ranked 151st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
