Basketball Game Preview: McDonald Blue Devils vs. Springfield Tigers

McDonald hasn't had much luck against Springfield recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 6:15 p.m. McDonald will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, McDonald beat Memorial 33-29.

Meanwhile, Springfield lost 50-26 to Poland Seminary on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

McDonald's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

McDonald suffered a grim 54-34 defeat to Springfield when the teams last played back in December of 2025. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' Regan Rogenski, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 18 points along with five assists and four steals.
