Golden Gate had lost three straight headed into Friday's contest, but Mikenson Demezier didn't let it get to four. The Titans came out on top against the Clewiston Tigers by a score of 36-25 on Friday for which the team can thank Demezier, who rushed for 122 yards and one score. He has become a key player for Golden Gate: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Clewiston's loss came despite strong showings from Zhaire Davis and Da'Rryon Willingham. Davis rushed for 122 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, while Willingham picked up 56 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 69 yards.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Clewiston, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Golden Gate will head out to face off against North Port at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clewiston, they will square off against Oxbridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the ThunderWolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
