Northeastern hasn't had much luck against Fairbanks recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Jets will host the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Northeastern is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Northeastern is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over Greenon on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Kylee Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Ashlynn Bowser was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted over her last ten contests. Another player making a difference was Sophia Shingler, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Northeastern always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Fairbanks came up short against Jonathan Alder on Saturday and fell 10-6.
Claire Meihls made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Elizabeth Gregory, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The victory got Northeastern back to even at 7-7. As for Fairbanks, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Northeastern hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Fairbanks struggles in that department as they've averaged .405. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Northeastern might still be hurting after the 16-0 defeat they got from Fairbanks when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Jets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
