Basketball Recap: Glascock County Comes Up Short

Glascock County lost against Twiggs County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Glascock County Panthers took a 65-51 bruising from the Twiggs County Cobras.

Twiggs County had a senior duo take command as Kamauree Butler posted 27 points and Daniel Pitts had 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. Demontrez Brown was another key player, putting up eight points.

Glascock County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Twiggs County, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12.

Glascock County has already played their next contest (against Johnson County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Twiggs County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hancock Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
