Daniel extended their winning streak to 18 on Wednesday, bumping them up to 19-1. They were the clear victors by a 57-37 margin over the Pickens Blue Flame. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Lila Mann was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Braelin Cumbie was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and three steals.

As for Pickens, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Daniel is ranked tenth).

Despite the loss, Pickens still got an impressive performance from Braelynn Hardin, who shot 71% from the field on her way to 16 points and four steals. That was a full 43.2% of the Blue Flame's points, marking the fourth time in a row Hardin has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Mitchum, who had nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Daniel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-32 win against Travelers Rest on the 6th. As for Pickens, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-44 defeat against Blue Ridge on the 5th.
