Basketball Recap: Jackson County Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Laurel, Jackson County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers, sneaking past 56-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Generals have posted since December 7, 2024.

Jackson County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Oneida Baptist Institute, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.
