Baseball Game Preview: Rising Tide vs. Nantucket Whalers

After both having extra time off, Rising Tide and the Nantucket Whalers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 20 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Rising Tide and three for Nantucket.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rising Tide's offense. They lost 31-0 to St. John Paul II last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Nantucket scored the most runs they've had this season last Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Westport by a score of 14-13.

Nantucket's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Rising Tide, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Rising Tide suffered a grim 11-2 defeat to Nantucket when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Rising Tide avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
