Basketball Recap: Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves vs. Kings Christian Crusaders
Wonderful College Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Kings Christian Crusaders and fell 75-27. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 65-34 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Wonderful College Prep Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miguel Diaz, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Kings Christian found their leader in freshman Andrew Ortega, who went 9 of 22 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Wonderful College Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-24 defeat against Granite Hills on the 20th. As for Kings Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-65 loss against McFarland on the 20th.
