Basketball Game Preview: Cumby Trojans vs. Celeste Blue Devils + How To Watch

Cumby hasn't had much luck against Celeste recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will host the Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. Celeste took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cumby, who comes in off a win.

Cumby not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 28th (when they won 68-27). They claimed a resounding 67-37 win over Miller Grove. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-18.

Cumby got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chayton Vaughan out in front who posted 16 points and four steals. That's the most points Vaughan has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Dakari Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Cumby smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Celeste was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 55-50 to Boles.

Celeste's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Cumby, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Cumby was dealt a bruising 84-18 defeat at the hands of Celeste when the teams last played back in December of 2017. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
