After flying high against Central last Tuesday, Cesar Chavez came back down to earth. The Champions fell 3-1 to the South Mountain Jaguars on Tuesday. The Champions' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Cesar Chavez's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-9. As for South Mountain, they pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cesar Chavez will square off against rival Browne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, South Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Camelback at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
