Basketball Recap: Slater Comes Up Short

Slater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 46-35 to the Sturgeon Bulldogs. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Slater's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Sturgeon, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Slater will venture away from home to square off against Glasgow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sturgeon, they will face off against Wellsville-Middletown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering Sturgeon has lost three straight at home and Wellsville-Middletown four straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.
