Recap: Cross Trojans vs. Military Magnet Academy Eagles

The Cross Trojans came tearing into Monday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 62-57 victory over Military Magnet Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Cross found their leader in underclassman Caden Ramsey, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamez Way, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Military Magnet Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jailen Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and six blocks. Another player making a difference was William Rose, who scored 15 points.

Cross is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Military Magnet Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
