Baseball Recap: Heritage Academy Drops Season-High Score on Cumberland Valley Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage Academy). They put the hurt on the Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers with a sharp 17-4 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Micah Wilson was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Titus Britner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Heritage Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.4.

Heritage Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-1.

Looking ahead, Heritage Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Boonsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Calvary Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
