Softball Recap: Heritage Timberwolves vs. Columbia River Rapids
The matchup between Heritage and Columbia River on Thursday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Timberwolves lost 15-8 to the Rapids. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rapids apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Thomas went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Ellis went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Jones, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and three doubles.
Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Columbia River, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Heritage will look to defend their home field on Friday against Prairie at 4:30 p.m. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Timberwolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Columbia River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
