Football Recap: Lompoc Braves vs. Cabrillo Conquistadores
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lompoc). They breezed by the Cabrillo Conquistadores at home to the tune of 54-6 on Tuesday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by 20 points or more this season.
Lompoc didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Karen Nanclares, Madison Caballero, and Ava Gallegos picked up one apiece.
Lompoc pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Cabrillo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pioneer Valley the next time they take the field. Lompoc will host Pioneer Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Cabrillo will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
