Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils vs. Upper Dauphin Area Trojans
Shenandoah Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 56-39 to the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Upper Dauphin Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Groff, who went 12 of 20 en route to 28 points. With that strong performance, Groff is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Aidan Bingaman, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points in addition to five boards and five steals.
Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Upper Dauphin Area, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah Valley will challenge Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Upper Dauphin Area, they will take on Newport at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
