Football Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Deshler Dragons        
        
		
             There's no place like home for Lawrence-Nelson, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They were the clear victor by  a  64-38 margin over the Deshler Dragons on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won three matchups by 26  points or more  so far this season.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lawrence-Nelson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 320  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deshler only rushed for 179.
 Lawrence-Nelson's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Wyatt Frey and  Cody Brockman. Frey also set a new season high mark in  rushing yards with 268.
 Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Kaden Kleen, who threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.  Easton Nash was another key pass catcher, picking up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Lawrence-Nelson now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Deshler, their loss was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence-Nelson and Nebraska Lutheran are set to duel  on Friday. As for Deshler, they will take on Bruning-Davenport/Shickley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season.
