Softball Recap: Alcona Tigers vs. Oscoda Owls
Alcona extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 12-11. They came up short against the Oscoda Owls, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly ten runs.
Alcona saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Kroon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Curley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Luella Whipkey was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Ava Taylor also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Coming up, Alcona is taking a road trip to take on Atlanta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oscoda, they will be playing at home against Inland Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
