Softball Recap: Springtown Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Springtown and Andrews squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Springtown had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Thursday.

Reiss DeLaFuente made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off three home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ava Fernandez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Springtown and nudges their season record down to 22-11. As for Andrews, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 31-7.

As of now, neither Springtown nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
