Football Recap: Elkhart Gets the Win

Elkhart's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 17-7 victory over the Northridge Raiders. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Micah Jarrell threw for 110 yards on 13 of 20 attempts. Tamichael Brown was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Alfonzo Newbern rushed for 58 yards.

The win got Elkhart back to even at 1-1. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Elkhart and Northridge will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Lions will square off against rival South Bend Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northridge is set to take on their familiar foe Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
