Kyle Hoffer leads Simi Valley to victory over Poly

Recap: Simi Valley Pioneers vs. Poly Parrots
The Simi Valley Pioneers won the last time they faced the Poly Parrots, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Simi Valley was the clear victor by a 74-50 margin over Poly. Given Simi Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 186th, while Poly is ranked 727th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kyle Hoffer, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Mjoen, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Simi Valley now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Poly, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Simi Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Providence at 8:00 p.m. on December 20th. Providence is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Poly and Marshall will face off at 9:00 a.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
