Oglesby had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gordon Longhorns on Friday, sneaking past 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Longhorns on Wednesday, they had to take a 6-4 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Mason Marquez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Jakson Tippit, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Oglesby's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Gordon, they moved to 19-5 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Oglesby will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
