Recap: Winfield Vikings vs. Haysville Campus Colts
The Winfield Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 39-28 win over Haysville Campus. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Winfield has managed all season.
Several Colts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Wood, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Wood also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Lever, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Winfield's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for Haysville Campus, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield and Andale will face off on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Haysville Campus, Haysville Campus and Goddard will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Goddard is on a three-game streak of home losses, Haysville Campus a 14-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
