Maiden dropped their record down to 11-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the West Lincoln Rebels by a score of 8-7. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-7 defeat back in March.

Ella Bryan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Sydney Sigmon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one double.

As for West Lincoln, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

On West Lincoln's side, the team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Carpenter, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Carpenter has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Pardo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Maiden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Lincoln, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-6 win against Bandys on the 30th.
