Volleyball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sterling couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to The Classical Academy Titans on Saturday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Karsyn Tonche paced Sterling's offense, picking up 12 kills. Tonche got some help from Berkley Gardiner and her 26 assists. Taylor Tonche controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sterling's loss dropped their record down to 22-8. As for The Classical Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for The Classical Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Alamosa on the 15th.
