Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Christian Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the DeKalb Tigers an easy 43-22 victory. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 34-33.

St. Joseph Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for DeKalb, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lawson at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. DeKalb also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against South Holt at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. DeKalb is facing South Holt at the right time seeing as South Holt is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
