Volleyball Recap: Humble Christian Takes a Loss

Humble Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Founders Christian Falcons. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Humble Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 0-25, 25-0, 0-25, 25-0, 15-0.

Ava Garcia paced Humble Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Garcia got some help from Mia Umanzor and her two assists. Garcia was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Humble Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Humble Christian will face off against Shady Acres Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Founders Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Banff at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
