Volleyball Recap: Penasco Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Penasco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Questa Wildcats. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Penasco took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-16.

Questa's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshlyn Medina, who had 11 digs and three aces. Ariana Medina was another key player, getting ten digs and two aces.

Penasco suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-12. As for Questa, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Coincidentally, Penasco and Questa will both be playing Escalante the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Lobos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
