Football Game Preview: Skowhegan River Hawks vs. Brunswick Dragons + How To Watch

The Skowhegan River Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Brunswick Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Skowhegan has given up an average of 32.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Skowhegan's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Cony on Friday. They were dealt a 55-0 defeat at the hands of the Rams. While losing is never fun, the River Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Rams are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brunswick, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Edward Little with a sharp 36-14 win on Saturday. The Dragons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Skowhegan dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Brunswick, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Skowhegan against Brunswick in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, as the squad secured a 61-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the River Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
