Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Fighting Zebras vs. Center Cougars

The Lincoln Fighting Zebras will head out on the road to square off against the Center Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lincoln came up short against Bear River on Monday, falling 3-0. The Fighting Zebras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Bear River a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 37-35.

Meanwhile, Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Mira Loma.

While Center ultimately came up short, they really made Mira Loma work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 17-25, 25-20.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Lincoln skirted past Center 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting Zebras since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
