Basketball Recap: Lake Minneola Wins Going Away Against Family Christian Center

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Howell, Lake Minneola was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Family Christian Center Lions with a sharp 47-21 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lake Minneola had a senior duo take command as Taniah Austin posted 15 points and Bailey Fowler scored 13 points. The dominant performance gave Austin a new career-high in points.

Lake Minneola's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Family Christian Center, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lake Minneola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 33-30 defeat against South Lake on the 4th. As for Family Christian Center, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leesburg Christian Prep at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th.
