Canisius had won five straight home games and Elijah Kimble did his part to make it six on Saturday. The Crusaders put the hurt on the St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders with a sharp 35-14 victory with plenty of help from Kimble, who rushed for 258 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Canisius is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Canisius didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Xavier Gates-Franklin.

Although St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute took the loss, they still got scores from Owen Kicinski and Stone Rozak.

Canisius' win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
