Softball Recap: Champlin Park Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Champlin Park had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Totino-Grace Eagles a 12-0 shutout. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Champlin Park pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Totino-Grace, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Champlin Park will square off against Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Totino-Grace, they will challenge Mahtomedi at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
