Preview: Lake County vs. South Fulton
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Lake County. On Friday they take on South Fulton at Lake County at 7:00 PM. Lake County have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so South Fulton might have their hands full.
Last Friday, Lake County put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They steamrollered Gleason 49-0. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (43) and coasted on those for the victory.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to South Fulton, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Dresden 14-12. The win was a breath of fresh air for South Fulton as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Their wins bumped Lake County to 5-1 and South Fulton to 1-5. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Lake County and South Fulton clash.
