Baseball Recap: West Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

West had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Edison Vikings on Tuesday, falling 8-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

Ryan Mendez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Angelo Diaz, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to an 8-8 draw on Thursday.
