Basketball Recap: Friends Select Sets Scoring Season-High Against Girard College

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Friends Select). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 87-38 stomp they got against the Girard College Cavaliers. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Friends Select had established a 36 point advantage.

Despite the loss, Girard College still got an impressive performance from Malachi Rose, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Friends Select is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Girard College, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
