Basketball Recap: Wooddale Triumphs

Wooddale hadn't done well against Melrose recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cardinals snuck past the Golden Wildcats with a 37-31 win. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 52-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Alexia Smith was a one-woman wrecking crew as she went 6-for-9 on her way to 14 points and six boards. London Carson was another key player, putting up three points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks.

Wooddale was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.
