It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eagle Pass can now relate to. They fell just short of the Clemens Buffaloes by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jay Jacquez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Eagle Pass saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Eagle Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 16-11-2. As for Clemens, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6-1 record this season.
