Baseball Recap: Manawa Wolves vs. Shiocton Chiefs
Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-3 to the Shiocton Chiefs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Monday.
Brody Rosin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Porter Gehrke, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
Manawa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Shiocton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Manawa will venture away from home to take on Weyauwega-Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Shiocton, they will face off against Freedom at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
