Basketball Recap: St. Thomas More Takes a Loss

The St. Thomas More Cavaliers lost to the Augustine Prep Lions on the road by a 73-57 margin on Thursday. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Augustine Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian King led the charge by shooting 50% from the field on his way to 14 points. The dominant performance also gave King a new career-high in assists (four). Jcobi Mathis was another key player, putting up 15 points.

St. Thomas More's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Augustine Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Looking ahead, St. Thomas More will welcome The Prairie School on Tuesday. As for Augustine Prep, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
