Volleyball Recap: Gooding Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gooding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hagerman Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-8.

Blayke Brunson paced Gooding's offense, picking up four kills. Brunson got some help from Kaylee Silver and her ten assists. Sarah Moen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Hagerman found their leader in sophomore Addi Chizum, who had 16 digs and three aces. Chizum has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Gooding's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Hagerman, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Gooding and Filer will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hagerman, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Sun Valley Community on the 30th.
