Softball Recap: East Duplin's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

East Duplin extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 13-7 in the process. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the East Bladen Eagles. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

East Duplin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karsyn Parker, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another was Zoe Turner, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

East Duplin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Bladen struck out seven times.

As for East Bladen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On East Bladen's side, Jenna Brice spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits.

As of now, neither East Duplin nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
