Basketball Recap: Parker-Tarrant Homeschool Falls Despite Big Games from David Aguilar and Toby Pike

It was a good run, but Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Tennessee Heat, falling 69-45. The Warriors lost against Tennessee Heat in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-61 score last time.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Toby Pike, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, and David Aguilar, who posted 14 points. Pike has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 30 times he's played.

Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 34-10. As for Tennessee Heat, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-12.

Coming up, Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Red River at 7:25 p.m. on Friday. Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool has given up an average of 49.8 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Tennessee Heat does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
