Baseball Recap: East Central Comes Up Short

East Central and Whiteland squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but East Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-2. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

East Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Seth Strobl, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Whiteland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

East Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whiteland, they have already played their next matchup, an 8-5 loss against Franklin Community on the 2nd.
