Preview: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Riverside Warriors
Greer has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Riverside Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Riverside is ranked 14th).
Last Thursday, Greer didn't have too much trouble with Laurens at home as they won 54-35.
Meanwhile, Riverside entered their tilt with Wade Hampton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Riverside came out on top in a nail-biter against Wade Hampton on Friday and snuck past 70-68. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Riverside has posted yet this season.
Greer's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Greer was dealt a bruising 67-38 loss at the hands of Riverside in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Greer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
