Volleyball Preview: Cherokee Chiefs vs. Williamstown Braves
Cherokee hasn't had much luck against Williamstown recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Cherokee Chiefs will head out to challenge the Williamstown Braves at 5:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Cherokee didn't have quite enough to beat Eastern and fell 2-1.
Meanwhile, Williamstown's undefeated season came to an end after 20 games on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to Princeton. The match marked the first time this season in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.
While Williamstown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-14.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Lora Kunicki, who had nine digs.
Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Williamstown, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 20-1.
