Corning waltzed into their game on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs with a sharp 12-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won four matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Corning's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Buffalo Island Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
