Basketball Recap: Wells Comes Up Short

Wells entered their matchup against Bolton Central on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wells Wells CSD took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bolton Central Eagles. The Wells CSD lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 87-50 score last time.

Despite the loss, Wells still got an impressive performance from Chase Brooks, who went 12 of 23 to rack up 35 points and three steals. Brooks' evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Passmore, who posted two points along with 14 assists and seven boards.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Bolton Central, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Wells has already played their next contest, an 84-54 win against Indian Lake Central on the 5th. As for Bolton Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 83-29 victory against Willsboro Central on the 5th.
