Volleyball Recap: Benicia Falls Despite Big Games from Lydia Flanagan and Zoe Cohen

Benicia was the 3-1 winner over Las Lomas when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Knights on Thursday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Benicia was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Las Lomas work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Benicia's loss came despite strong showings from Zoe Cohen and Lydia Flanagan. Cohen had 23 digs and two assists, while Flanagan had 25 assists and six digs. Cohen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Benicia's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Las Lomas, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Benicia nor Las Lomas have any future games scheduled.
